Stage-aware guided sessions, a daily emotion check-in, and an encrypted journal β built around your specific loss. Not a meditation app. Not a therapy replacement. Something in between.
Coming soon Β· iPhone & Android
Mend starts by understanding what you've been through β death of a loved one, divorce, job loss, miscarriage, estrangement, or identity loss. Your sessions, journal prompts, and language are shaped by your specific experience from day one.
A short 5-question assessment places you in a grief stage β Shock, Anger, Bargaining, or Integration. It's not a diagnosis. You can retake it anytime, because grief is not linear and the app will never express concern if you go back.
Guided audio sessions (5β15 minutes) are matched to your stage and loss type. An encrypted private journal holds what you're not ready to say aloud. And if a hard moment hits at 2am, emergency sessions are always free and always reachable β one tap from anywhere in the app.
120+ guided audio sessions matched to your grief stage and loss type. As many times, in any order, as you need.
Private by default. AES-256 encrypted on your device. 95+ stage-specific prompts. Never behind a social feature.
Your check-in history shown as a curve β not a streak counter. Grief isn't a race. The graph never implies a finish line.
Emergency sessions are always free Β· Premium from $9.99/mo or $79.99/yr Β· 7-day free trial

No. Mend is a wellness companion, not a therapy replacement and not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition. If you're in crisis, Mend will always surface the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline and Crisis Text Line. Yes β completely. Journal entries are encrypted on your device using AES-256. The encryption key is stored in your device's secure storage, not on any server. Mend cannot read your journal entries. There are no social features and no sharing options by default.
Mend is built around six loss types: death of a loved one, divorce or relationship ending, job loss, pregnancy or baby loss, family estrangement, and identity loss (illness, disability, major life transition). Each loss type has its own session path, journal prompts, and language.
Mend uses four stages: Shock, Anger, Bargaining, and Integration. These are orientation points, not a checklist. Grief is non-linear β you can move between stages freely, retake the assessment whenever you need to, and the app will never question why you're going back.
Yes β always. The 12 short emergency sessions (3β5 minutes each) are accessible from the bottom navigation at all times and are never behind a paywall. Grief doesn't wait for the right moment to be ready to subscribe.
